There are some couples you meet where you know down to your very core that the universe could not help itself and had to introduce person A to person B. Ashantha is person A, and Shannon is that person B. Here was Shannon, crazy accomplished, saving the world with her mobile health clinic, much loved and respected by her friends, family, and entire community. Everything was going great in her life, but she had yet to meet THAT guy who made her tick. And then one day, her auntie in Sri Lanka calls her, “Shannon, I know the right guy for you. He’s perfect. He’s also Sri Lankan, but currently lives in Qatar.” I can already see her rolling her big, brown eyes, imagining my reaction if my aunt had said the same to me if she were trying to fix me up with someone who doesn’t even live on the same continent. Well, bless Shannon’s heart, she was willing to skype. Skype turned into a flight back to Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka turned into a proposal merely weeks after meeting. And here we are, at the glorious wedding of these two beautiful, soulful, meant-to-be-together people.
Congratulations, again, you two fabulous souls!
