When it came to choosing a location for Louriz and Miguel’s engagement session, we easily went with downtown LA. They both worked in the jewelry district, and their relationship blossomed over shared subway rides, lunches, and walks. It’s such an urban experience that I romanticize, so I asked them to simply take me around their spots, and that I would shoot based on their stories, the light, and the space. Feast your eyes!

Sara cracks me up. When Michael first asked her out on a date, he offered to drive from LA to OC on a Friday night and take her out to dinner. Her first thoughts: “Who does that? Creepy!” On her guard at the beginning of the evening, his charm and sincere gentleman qualities wore away her doubts. A first date led to a second, and months later, we are just about a week away from their wedding!! Hooray for chivalry!
